TL;DR of life story:
Yuying was born to a fairly affluent family in Hong Kong as an only child and spent the majority of her early years devoted solely to education. Never quite the popular girl in school despite her family's status, her more artistic vision and quiet demeanor often rewarded her with teasing/taunting by her peers. By her teen years, due to increased pressure, she sort of 'blossomed' into more of the social character that her family and peers expected her to be, taking on more of an expected role as a daughter that excelled in social and educational aspects. She went on to study Chinese language and history as a major at her father's behest, minoring in international economics and trade.
She's mostly been a girl that plays along with the idea of what she should be on the surface to keep people around her happy, but for a while, she had befriended a few people from different classes and sort of gotten a quiet revenge on the upper-class people around her that she felt were heartless and in need of reminding that their status in society didn't give them a right to treat others too poorly. She wound up feeling guilty about delivering a sort of underhanded justice and backed out of it several years ago, focused on finishing her degree, and now travels and on the surface just lives by networking and from her parents' money. Beyond that, she kept her artistic hobbies to herself, creating a shadow business without her name publicly attached to create different figures (like ball-jointed dolls) and art pieces that she sells.
